I use to be a cocky little fricker. I had to be.. especially to people who didn't know me well.. Kids are going to frick with someone in a wheelchair, especially if that person doesn't tell them anything back or does nothing about it. Sometimes I had to cause a scene to make sure someone didn't think they could just frick with me.
