To your point, I thought Walsh was really fair. I haven't heard of him before, but if all his stuff is similar to this, I'll have to check him out.
Also, did he ever get an answer to his question besides having to open up a jar for his wife?

1) That’s not a definition
2) By that logic, anyone can be anything and no words have any meaning
He's still in the mud pit getting dirty.

Good on him, they act like incredibly enlightened beings not allowing the mere thought of disagreeing with them.

Catholics are pretty big on deriving morality from a combination of scripture but also philosophy, so he probably felt he could use reason to justify his beliefs. From my experience Catholics have a similar argument against gay marriage as they do against the use of contraception. They think sex has unitive and procreative properties and we ought not act in a way that artificially removes one of these properties. I’ll be real, I think they kind of fail to convince me that sex always ought to have these properties, but they’ve tried to lay out these arguments
On a subsequent podcast he said he specifically didn’t use scripture because he was dealing a non Christian, meaning it was purposeful.
I used to take a similar approach but I later on figured that other people are using their personal beliefs derived from their parents, teachers, and upbringing to arrive at their perspectives.
Removing Christianity from my thought process in a debate when someone like Rogan is using his hippie/coastal/celebrity/liberal (not begrudging him for those) upbringing is fighting with an arm tied behind my back. The left isn’t concerned with their religion of self being an argument.
When Seth Dillon argued against abortion with him, he didn’t mask his Christianity.
Mistake on Walsh’s part, but I find his steadfastness on the trans issue to be way more impactful than a bad bout of debate with Rogan.
