I'm not trying to give the breed a pass. They are high-strung and they have a very mean bite. I do not recommend them for everyone, or even most people.

I am a little skeptical of the argument that they're all that different from dogs in general. Pit Bull genetics are prevalent in mixed-breed dogs. Anyone who thinks Mittens the Retriever (who trashes their truck interior and sheds everywhere anyway) is great but trashes Pit Bulls needs to examine his own thought process.
