if you are talking corp america. It makes no sense.

Job hopping up the ladder is the way to go.

Internal promotions always get paid less than those brought in from the outside.

Which is why you would never see that. It is not hard to trick olds with a resume. It is not like hiring manager will actually do thier job and follow up on the resume. (Unless they outside source it.)

I've been with the same company since 2010 and have worked my way up the ranks over the last 8 years. The only way I can progress further is management, which I'm not ready to get into. So if I want more money I'll probably have find another job.
