This is what you need right here. I can't drink regular milk and this is just as good. Little expensive but worth it.

I just looked at my Silk Almond Milk. There is no low fat dairy in it. There is an asterisked?section comparing the daily value of Silk Almond Milk to that of Low Fat Dairy.

It is dairy free.

True statement. They threw my wife and I for a big loop the way it was on the carton. She figured it out.

I rarely study food labels this close. But, since finding out my kid has major food allergies, have no choice now.

So, my little guy can't have any dairy. Have been told almond milk is an easy substitute. So, at first glance, says dairy free on the back. But, after looking very closely, says in fine print "contains low fat dairy milk". Just noticed this on the vanilla version. Haven't looked that hard at the unsweetened original flavor.

How can something say dairy free, but contain low fat Dairy milk?

Blue Diamond and Silk have been in a class action lawsuit for multiple years - but it may be to do with a different aspect of their labeling than the dairy part. Maybe not enough almonds or something.

Certain amounts of ingredients are negligible and therefore allowed to be discounted. It is good you are reading labels. I read them for sugar and sodium content mostly.

Artificially.
