According to the victim, the suspect told him, “I’ll kick your [butt] if you say another word.” The victim told deputies he replied by saying, “another word.” That’s when deputies say the suspect quickly approached the victim and started attacking.
The victim moonlights here for sure.

but, if your name is "Sheriff Judd" you shouldn't make jokes
Sheriff Grady Judd does not frick around. He’s always pulling those Chris Hansen style pedo stings and stupid mofos drive from all over the place to continuously get busted in Polk County.

In the etiquette handbook, a thank you, while perfectly reasonable, is not required for the style of door holding the attacker deployed. The act of simply bumping the door to let it stay open a bit longer for the person behind you is the baseline courtesy and not above and beyond.
That said, his courtesy was extended in the confrontation when he generously offered the fat guy a warning prior to initiating physical contact, which the fat guy promptly disregarded.
I think both parties learned a valuable lesson, and with this being a relatively minor confrontation in the context of Florida man things, I say case dismissed.
gavel bang
