The Grand Tour showed that the Rimarc's battery combusted for 72 hours continually after it crashed. That's a better battery than whatever is in a Tesla.
No. Comparing a prototype unit to a mass production units that's certified to be bolted to the side of residences isn't even remotely in the same category much less "better".

Is there a resale value on a 8 year old EV, or do you just throw them away if you don't want to pay for replacement batteries?
Well, according to the article in the OP the resale value for that car was $500 - not including the tow fee.
Maybe we could just cut the entire front section off, ship them to Asia and have them repurposed as luxury rikshaws with an ipad melded to dash so you can get your Cardi B on while Yang exhaustively pulls you down the street.

EV Fires by Brand
I guess all these brands were just prototypes too.

On January 19, 2021, a Tesla Model 3 exploded in an underground residential parking garage in Shanghai on Tuesday, Chinese media reported.[129] In July 2021, one of the first 250 issued Model S Plaids spontaneously burst into fire as its owner was driving it.[130][131] In September 2021 alone, there were five fire related incidents involving Tesla's.[132] On February 22, 2022, State Farm sued Tesla after another home was destroyed by fire.[133]

So I'm gonna have an 8 year warranty on the battery AND pay $200 a month for what exactly?
Property or Life Insurance claims are most likely.

One of my family members operates a business that transports stores, and auctions “totaled” cars for major insurance companies. They received a letter from their insurance carrier to store damaged Tesla’s outside, and isolated from other cars and structures.

So the rimac is better because it has less fires in all 0 of the production cars it made?
EV fires is a blown out of proportion talking point.

But this poster sees 1 article about a Tesla catching fire and is gullible enough to believe only EVs ever catch fire.
