Flat Earthers just ignore everything. “if we’re moving why do we always see the same stars!” There are literal season constilations, and then the ones you can see year round are oriented north or south. You can’t see the north star in the southern hemisphere ever You can’t see the southern cross in the northern hemisphere.

There is no flat earth model where seasons work, that light actually works. The distance between continents when traveling in parallels is drastically different in a flat earth map. Yet they don’t sail a boat and measure the distance and prove it.

There is a fantastic documentary about flat earthers and the biggest commonality is that’s it’s a group of people who otherwise felt extremely isolated finding a community.

There are just a million ways to prove it and none of them do any of them.

I have not read the whole tread, but the current trend is that people have such a distrust of established science, they foolishly rely and trust only on their own observational points of view. Thus, if they look and see that the land is flat, then the entire Earth must be flat.

This isn’t their issue, because they’ll tell you if your using a compass pointing north your just going in a circle around a central norther pole.

the issue is that the tropic of cancer should be significantly bigger around than the tropic of capricorn and even the equator. Southern hemisphere parallels should get bigger and bigger instead of smaller and smaller.

And again, this is something they can measure, but instead they just pretend flights don’t go between southern continents.

Not all fundamentalists are flat earthers, but most flat earthers are fundamentalists.

Also young earth is equally as dumb as flat earth but that's a separate conversation.
