Icing on right wing? De-icing boots malfunction? I've read that icing of the fuel can disrupt equal fuel flow from the wings creating an imbalance.

Rapid deceleration, but the government will sugar coat it and say uncontrolled flight into terrain.

Doubt it

The NTSB found parts of the wing and stabilizer a few miles from the airplane wreckage.

Pretty clear case of over-stressing the airframe. The question is, what caused the unusual flight attitude.

Most likely pilot error given the weather getting out of Reno that night.

Think this could have stressed the plane?

ADS-B data indicates that the aircraft then entered a spiraling descent at over -30,000 ft/min and crashed

What I was suggesting was the loss of performance of a control surface. The engines in those planes rarely fail.

If I had about $800m I’d buy one of those or maybe a TBM.

Spiraling down at 30,000 fpm had to suck. You know what was coming at that point.

I wonder if Live ATC has any recordings.
