Today marks the final day of summer. Tomorrow I’m heading up early morning to get some fall feels in the north fork. Hoping to catch glimpses of bugling elk and a fattening grizz.

How will you celebrate the first day of the best season?

By working and and being hot and shite cause we don’t get fall in Alabama. We get like a weekend of fall and then it’s 30 degrees.

Gossamer is the granddaddy of the ultralight movement. They’ve been doing it forever it seems like.

I’m pretty much exclusively Zpacks and Dutchware/Hammockgear these days.

I haven’t caved in on other ultralight gear... yet. I’m still using my UL-1 Mountain Hardwear Ghost and my Nemo sleeping bags that seem like they weigh a ton

They probably do in comparison to what’s on the market today

Get you a quilt, but no worries. Hike your own hike, baw.

I believe my base weight is around 12 pounds in my Mariposa which is good for me. I gotta get one more good backpack in this fall before the snow flies, which isn’t too far from now. Predictions for 8-12” in Glacier Park next week. FML

I’ll have to look into that. My mushers are an old beat up pair of Cassins I found at a consignment store

Felt pretty good in BR. Low humidity and a breeze. Walked the kid around the neighborhood and didn’t get shot
