Get a bunch of medium sized waterproof Band-aids. There are 10 in a box for $3. Got enough to last me two weeks till my stitches came out. Wrapping the arm is a pain in the arse.

Worst thing THUS FAR is having it all slinged up. Best thing is it took me all of 10 seconds to figure out the best way tp use the bathroom. The worst WILL BE hours 49-72 waiting to shower fir the first time. Most annoying, the dang taste in my throat from the tube.

How have you old baws wrecked your shoulders so bad? I have shoulder issues but nothing like ya’ll talk about.

13 years of play along the o-line. 3 knee scopes before sophomore year and 3 back surgeries (between 21-35) had me wait as long as possible for shoulders.

Man I should have thought of something that obvious. My wife is having fun using bandaids that we still have fron when the kids were young. I've got a single staple for each incision which is better than what I thought they'd use (steri-strips)...what was used on the 3 incisions for my knee scopes.

I've had 3 shoulder surgeries and the first time going to the doctor (general not the orthopedic) he asked if i had played offensive line in college. Said the only other time he had seen xrays as 'epic' as mine was with former linemen.

Good luck.

Football was worth all that? Not in my mind.I hurt my shoulder once water skiing, didn’t have surgery but had to go to physical therapy 3x/week for awhile, knocked me out of fishing about 2 months.Never skied again.Maybe if I was a football fan I would have felt different.Hunting and fishing only sports I ever cared about.

I didn't play football. My shoulders were equal to that of an offensive lineman. After my 2nd and 3rd surgeries my physical therapist were using me to teach students since my injuries were abnormal.
