Wrong.
Like the rest, the FBI ALLOWED all of these things to happen to stay relevant.
"If only we had more funding, we could have stopped it"
"If only we could take guns away from citizens, this wouldn't happen."
Rinse and repeat.
Always follow the money, it will lead you to the power hungry

The FBI is a little like health insurance. They bitch about high costs and claim to want the best for you. But if medicine was good enough to eliminate disease and was cheap enough to be affordable to the average guy, who would buy health insurance? So, behind the scenes they are engaging in practices that they know will actually drive up costs and result in worse outcomes for patients. Maybe not individually and to the detriment of any particular patient except as a byproduct of the overall design, but they are doing it.

Looks like he had just passed an FBI BACKGROUND CHECK to buy an AR six days earlier, a Syrian terrorist on the FBI watchlist
This is the question all of America should be asking!
Nothing with race, politics, or gun control!

Help me out here. How does knowing someone's identity equal dropping the ball?
Would it not be more damming to have known his motives in advance?
The FBI absolutely knows my identity. Does that mean they should be able to prevent any criminal activity I may engage in?
That depends. Do they know your identity because you were linked to someone under investigation, and did you buy a gun undergoing a background check? You would think that might cause some issues on a background check or maybe they would have been alerted that someone on their radar was undergoing a background check to buy a gun

i would expect the follower of a liar not to accept the truth.

You might think that, but I don’t. I happen to be well aware that being someone loosely “linked” to an unspecified investigation does not mean anyone is notified if that linked person is undergoing a background check for the purposes of buying a gun. But some people might think that if they believe Hollywood portrayals are factual.
