Growing up my maternal great grandmother lived at the corner of 7th and Juniper Streets in Midtown Atlanta. Very nice neighborhood now but in the 1970s not so much. The neighbor who lived directly above her apartment was a pretty notorious pimp in Atlanta, white dude, and his "employees" lived or stayed at his place most of the time...sometimes several of them would be there. They were always nice to me....I was like a little brother to them (they were not much more than their late teens most likely). They called my grandmother Granny and so I assumed we were family somehow. My mama HATED them LOL...my poor dad could not come around that apartment without getting his arse chewed out good and proper....and of course we went there all the time.

Those girls worked the SW corner of 7th and Juniper Street. I would sit on the wall while they were working and go get them drinks and cigarettes and anything they sent me after. The leader of this group, and apparently the bottom girl, was a black lady about 30 years old who was about 5 feet tall and weighed about 300 pounds. Big woman. If she was on the corner she was the pick of the litter. The others were young and fit and attractive....but if that big woman was on the corner when a car stopped she was the one the driver picked.....every time. At times, in the summer, we would be on that corner from about 8 PM until 3 or so in the morning and that big woman would have been in 25 or so cars during the night...she did at least twice as many tricks as the rest of them....for whatever reason she was the pick of the litter and it wasn't close.....

i wonder if their combined IQ breaks into the triple digits or not.
