Stigma wouldn't kill the project, but, cost might.

The Hindenburg Disaster at Lakehurst, NJ, was not "on live radio."

The announcer recorded it and the event was broadcast later.

But, the announcer did RECORD it live, he was there when it happened, speaking into the recorder as it happened. That's why it sure sounds like a live radio broadcast. AND, it is certainly one of the most memorable events in radio.
