Need ideas for a vacation this fall with a three and five year old. We did Disney about a year and half ago so looking for something different.

I hear WallyWorld is great for a family drive.

Take them to the city. Get a room at the Roosevelt after Thanksgiving. Dress for dinner at least once. Do the aquarium and the zoo. Its the best time of year to be there weather wise. The children's museum is nice also.

Serious answer Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico. If you drive you get to see some cool shite on the (the Alamo, etc.) and you get to see a genuinely different culture with the reservations preserving their way of life. It's a great way to show young kids how big and diverse the world really is and it's exciting for them because it's just visually awe-inspiring.
Stupid internet answer: Aleppo.

Also, you get to watch the bats fly out of the cavern at sunset, it's fricking awesome. If your kids don't love that then take away their iPads because they hate reality.
