I see you're catching some flak from others in here, but honestly, with the sous vide options for people cooking at home these days, it's rather hard to frick up a steak. Season it to your taste and cook to your preference and it is a perfect steak at home.

This thread is silly.

Ruth's Chris is an expensive restaurant. That does not mean that the people who work there are rich, or that the people who own the locations are any richer than any other business owner. Helping Ruth's stay afloat is not fundamentally different from giving an SBA loan to, say, a small independent pet store or dental practice.

As for complaining about the food at Ruth's, well, that's equally silly. Ruth's serves well-seared USDA Prime cuts of meat (which you probably can't even get) in melted butter. Maybe you'd prefer a nice leisurely sit-down at Zoe's Kitchen or whatever, but if you want steak Ruth's is a fine place to go. I mean, there aren't too many ways to screw up a steak.
