Say it with me.
There's.
No.
Replacement.
For.
Displacement.
Heat, pressure and RPMs is what kills engines.
There's a reason nearly half of the best engines of all the time are all naturally aspirated inline 6s.
Inline.
Long-stroke.
Breathe naturally.
Live forever.

I have a 2.7 and it’s way faster and gets much better mileage than my old 5.0.
About those MPG figures that people are stating, is that for a two wheel drive or four? I get 21.5 all round with my 4X4.

The wear on that engine by forcing that much air into it to power >4500 lbs of truck is immense.
My buddies dad had a 2019 F150 with the V8. Engine blew at 6K and had to be replaced. It’s been in the shop more than he has driven it. Do yourself a favor OP don’t buy a Ford. I have owned 2 and nothing but issues.
My F250 4x4 didn’t work off the lot. The day after I bought it I got stuck because 4WD wouldn’t engage.

the 2.7 would satisfy the needs of probably 95% of truck drivers. It has 325 hp, 400 ft torque and can tow something like 9000 lbs.
This. I pull a 21ft Cape Horn with this truck. A 2008 GMC with a 5.3 couldnt do it.
