It's been awhile since I worked in secondary ed but I found their testing/evaluation process was limited in scope.

A lot of emphasis was placed on the observations/recommodations from the teachers who work with the child.

FYI, I have a child with a IEP due to the chemo he recieved at a young age. This is his first year (9th grade) where he does not receive any accomodations but is given some leeway in terms of timed assignments in class.

His teachers are briefed by an educational psychologist on the best approaches towards teaching my son.

We are trying to ween him off any accomodations as I am very concerned with him adapting to an unforgiving real world that is not very friendly towards special treatment
