Agree with this I used Old Spice Denali Anti-perspirant and noticed I started sweating like crazy. Went to just a regular deodorant and it stopped the huge sweat rings on my shirt considerably.

I've heard of people getting a sweat gland removed, but that seems very extreme

Just go see a dermatologist. They'll give you a medication to apply and it'll take care of the problem.
Back in high school my right underarm would sweat profusely while the left one did not. Doc prescribed something called DrySol (if I recall correctly). Applied it a few times before bed (its like roll-on deodorant). Itched like a bitch the first night but after a few more applications it didn't.
16 years later and my underarms don't even sweat. It's very nice.
