Every hour in front of a screen is an hour you waste living.

Ive wasted a terrible amount of time in front of the television and computers. Now my daughter is here. I already got rid of cable but should I just get rid of my TV as well.

Why not spend every waking hour being active. You sleep 8 hrs. work 8 hrs. watch tv and eat for 8 hours. Im going to change things for my family and put them on a schedule.

Who says watching tv or playing video games isn't living?

Interesting that you put a screen in front of your face so you can post this.

Raising your daughter is going to be rough if you stick to that’s mindset

I was speaking more on the part of not letting her use “screens” especially once she’s not an infant

We watch about 2 and half hours a week of TV to relax as a family when we're able to.

During football season. we watch a couple games a weekend.

We enjoy this time together as a family. I don't think that this time is "wasted."

I like screens. They lull me into complacency. Like a drug.

You are in the right mind set especially having a child. An hour wasted is actually two...an hour of your time and an hour not spent wisely with your child. Don't let the mouth-breathers tell you different.

Posting this on a web forum seems a bit hypocritical.

Idiotic.

It’s not 1985.

There is so much great stuff out there on TV.

Your kids will get a lot more from watching Planet Earth II in 4K or 1080 HD in an hour than walking around in the typical McMansion subdivision.
