Well you probably remember from therapy the disease began before they took their first pain pill. Some turn to opium, some turn to sugar/food, some turn to alcohol, some focus it on their work. All and their families suffer.

Of course, I was just reiterating my previous post that painkillers are a reason for the current heroin numbers

We should enter into a treaty with a bunch of other countries. We can call it the Paris Opiate Treaty. The US can pay a Trillion per year, everyone else pays nothing. In a few decades, we can reduce opiate births to one in every 23.75 minutes.

I am not going to believe it just because you posted it, but it isn't surprising so many babies are being born suffering from opioid withdrawals. Opioid addiction is an epidemic and a woman, who is an addict, probably has more unprotected sex than the average woman so there is probably more unplanned pregnancies going on and a woman, who is an addict, doesn't just stop using for 9 months while she is pregnant.

It's sad. Look at all the crack babies that were born when crack was an epidemic.

Yeah, I went into treatment for booze around a year and a half ago. I figured most of the other patients would also be alkies but it was probably 70% heroin.

Being in rehab for booze alone makes you in rare company there.
