Very common now. The person cashing the check will need ID of course and will be charged fees. Banks with a good relationship with their client will call that client to confirm the check was issued.
Since the advent of laser printers and the ability for people to print their own checks, there is a lot more fraud.

1.) Lack of identification. Only 1 form vs 2. Sufficient ID as well. Sometimes a state ID or passport only won't count.

Dude Regions is the worst....on so many levels. If civil unrest happens and some branches get charred.....I won't shed a tear .
