You could absolutely be involved with cruddy people your parents know nothing about. She probably lied about staying the night at a friend’s house and snuck out all the time

I would be asking the parents of the other girl, "So how did having our daughter over go last night?" It sure as hell wouldn't be enough nights her being away from home to bang half the town without me checking in on her through back channels.

Good parenting is good parenting. And her parents let their daughter down.

Like others dated a Baptist ministers daughter. We were both 18. Smoke, drank, and was not shy about sex. Fortunately she was not batshit crazy at that time

Yes and sons too. It was in the 70s and preacher’s children seemed to go overboard trying to prove they weren’t like their parents.

The girls got a bad reputation, the boys got an atta boy and were cool…

What kind of parents wouldn't know the whereabouts of their daughter when it's repeated over and over?? Pure negligence.

You would surprised at the number of parents that are absolutely clueless to what their children do once they leave home. I think one reason her parents did not catch on was due to the fact she never gave them anything to worry about. She was a model student, made great grades, was very involved in the church and her parents knew all of her friends very well.
