That'd be funny if you know him irl.
Last time I spoke with him, the ISIS stuff was heating up, and I haven't heard back from him in two years. Thought he was supposed to be "retired".
Does his last name end in a vowel?

It does actually
Big dude, reddish blond hair, gun nut, moto cross?
Chances are probably slim it's the same dude. From what I understand, the town I'm in as well as Fayetteville, NC among others is home base to a lot of "spooks".
I may have crossed paths w your cousin though if this isn't the dude.

The guy who owned Fricken Chicken in BR was a sniper with some confirmed kills. Can't remember if he was army or marines. I think he did some "contract work" for the agency.

No, doesn't match those looks, but he's in the "offroad business". He knows just how much info to give without more details, so you're normally able to figure out the rest on your own. Dude has seen some shite and been in the shite for the past 30 years.

I don't know anyone who I suspected of being a CIA spy but I did know a married couple that I strongly suspected were Russian sleeper agents.
I rented a basement apartment from a retired AF colonel and his wife. These people were weird. Really weird. The wife was a paranoid schizophrenic who thought people dressed in red were watching her and that the mirrors in her house had cameras behind them.
They didn't seem to know anything about American food and would eat the same dinner every night; unseasoned frozen steak tossed on a cookie sheet and baked in the oven and a can of peas. They were always making weird unsolicited statements about themselves and their kids like "We're just an all-American family" and "Our son is just an all-American boy". They also called each other "Bear" as a pet name and had weird generic accents.
They would drink vodka from the time they woke up in the morning until night and the husband would spend all night on the internet (this was the early 90's before home internet was very common). He worked in network security for the AF which is exactly the kind of place an agent would be most useful.

Stanley E. Hilton. I don't think he was active at LSU, but he DEFINITELY hunted Nazis in Brazil in the 1960s. He even wrote a book about it. I'm thinking he was - at the very least - cooperating with CIA and Mossad.
So, there's that...
One of the most interesting professors I have ever had.

I know him and his wife fairly well. Met them when they both got back from Iraq. Very, very cool couple. I think they were both interrogators for the Army in Iraq (contractors). She was pretty damn fine too. They had great stories and I loved every time we got together. Haven't talked to them in a while, but the whole time I was reading all these post, I was thinking about them. Good people and both were bad asses!

Met him through work at my former place of employment. He had some good stories.

Dead give away he is not doing spec ops or any clandestine activity, you blend in, and never want to look "military". Which is why you can bet anyone acting paranoid, having a strange routine, obviously odd activities at their residence, might be doing something illegal, but is not part of some type of undercover military, intelligence, or law enforcement activity, those that are act normal and don't draw un-needed attention.

I worked with a guy who was doing some crazy stuff. He has told some minor stories of places he and been etc. He is probably late 40's early 50's. Still a complete bad arse.
He showed some pictures of fire fights he was in in South America or central America. Never would say anything more than "I worked for the US government."

My step brother was in Delta in the 90s he was a SF weapons specialist before that. We were both stationed at ft Bragg at the same time. He NEVER would admit he was in delta or that he was still in the army.
I had literally ridden with his wife to pick up his mail at the delta compound. He never admitted it... Not once. He left after 12 or so years did his last 3 back in SF and retired.
