It is kind of a dick move if she was otherwise a good employee. They knew she was Muslim when they hired her presumably.
On the other hand, Muslims are invading Europe and ruining the whole place. Too bad a head scarf ban won't help that.

That's pretty vague. In an office environment where "religious garb" doesn't provide a safety concern or interfere with a uniform appearance, this could be something as simple as wearing a cross over your shirt. I'd be willing to bet that a lot of people in this country, particularly in the south, would be up in arms if a company pushed for a policy that didn't allow people to wear a visible cross in the office.
