The "Gospel" means "good news" folks. Yes, Jesus will forgive ANY sin except the sin of unbelief.
Why? Because Jesus paid the sin debt for everyone who believes in Him. You cannot earn forgiveness by doing good works or in any other way. You can receive forgiveness by accepting the sacrifice Jesus made for you on the cross.

I didn't post this to create controversy. We live in very troubled times. Some people on this board may have never heard of Jesus. They have now. God bless you all.

who appointed people like you to tell others how their relationship with God should be?

That's the problem with some of you Christians. Bunch of hypocrites.

It sure was cruel to give some people a far more skeptical disposition, then punish them for eternity for using the disposition they were given.

It takes more faith to believe that matter spontaneously combusted out of nothing and that matter somehow became intelligent life. It takes faith to believe that in a universe where calamity, and chaos prevails, that perfectly designed human beings would come to be.

But feel free to carry on with your religion

To call OP a hypocrite means you know the OP and know that OP lives a life contrary to what he/she stated in their post.

Do you know this OP? Do you know how he/she conducts their life?

So whose God wins since other beliefs believe the same thing.

I mean most religions do share common themes, isn't it possible that God is the same for these people as well?

There are plenty of examples of Christian hypocrisy. This isn't one of them.

If they haven't heard of Jesus, then they would be incapable of using the Internet since they are probably intellectually disabled, in some isolated society with no contact with the outside world, etc.

What a ridiculous justification.

So God used to physically manifest himself in the Bible... he'd either appear as a burning bush or verbally communicate with people. He'd make impossible things happen... seas parting, walls fall down, pillars of fire, etc.

Then, he just stopped. Especially since humans have developed means to record things. There is nary a single example of a supernatural event recorded that stands up to scientific scrutiny or that has been replicated in the presence of scientists. Not just religious supernatural events... any supernatural events. Not a one.

Now, you can draw two conclusions from this:

A) an all powerful being, who could end war, disease, poverty, genocide, suffering with the snap of a finger let's it all go on and keeps himself completely hidden as a test to see if you'll take everything on faith as part of a plan that you can't understand, and if you don't... he'll send you to a place where you'll suffer excutiating agony for all eternity. Even if you're an otherwise decent human being. But he loves you!

Or

B). There is no invisible, all powerful being.

I realize it's very hard to let go of. I went through it myself after 30 years of Christianity being drilled into my being. But at some point, you have to use your logical brain and see the plain truth. There's no Santa Clause. There's no Easter Bunny, There's no tooth fairy. Guess what?

Religion is made up. Plain and simple. Science has proven so many things false over the centuries, but still you continue to ignore the possibility that you've all been punk'.

Giant floods, walking on water, transformation, prayer healing? Come on man!

I've sort of come to the viewpoint that the existence of some higher power isn't that illogical, but the assumption that any of us have correctly and absolutely figured out "higher power" out of the the infinite possibilities, is quite unlikely.

I said some of you Christians. Not necessarily him. But ok this guy is basically telling us to just accept Jesus and any of our sins will be forgiven. But do it before it's too late.

But hey I'm supposed to sit here and think this dude has never lusted after a woman? How about envied his neighbor? This guy is a sinner like the rest of us.

Dear Mods:

Is this a test thread to see what a Religion Board would be like?

Note that it's the atheists being a-holes

Yours faithfully (get it? lulz),

Me

A giant flood is possible or misinterpreted

For instance if meteors big enough hit the oceans in ancient time it could appear as a flood once tsunami's were formed due to the impact
