The Cox guide/interface has changed in the last 2-3 years. Maybe you need a new box.

I recently switched to Directv and it's like I upgraded form a flip phone to a smart phone. It's just better.

Hard to see how ESPN will be able to keep paying the same rights fees next go around. I could see the model shifting to the conferences airing their own games on their networks.

I still say the best idea would be to just show live games with no commentators and just microphones in the stadiums. Make it like you are at the game.

I want a channel that syncs the video with you team's radio call. Then I could watch the Saints while listening to Henderson. I can do that now bit I would hear every play before I saw it.

I bet 90% of the channels on people's tvs don't get watched. That is why the cable company bundles. God I wish we could pick only the channels we wanted. Pay per view when shows or events we want to see pop up.
TBH I only watch ESPN when they have a game I want to see. 95% of their programming is garbage to me.

My question is this.
At some point in the near future ESPN will lose the ability to pay our these large rights fees to the leagues and institutions for the rights to carry the games.
Who is going to pick it up? How much will the sports leagues and ncaa lose in the process? I fear that our haste to allay the giant and just stream it for free or nearly free, will someday nearly destroy our ability to watch the sports in the same volume we watch them today.
Please someone tell me how I'm wrong

Agree. But it will impact sports directly via lower TV contracts that will cause lower salary caps, coaches contracts, ticket prices, etc. Basically all sports is a huge bubble right now for the next few years. At some point it will come crashing down, via strikes and lockouts in the pros and bankruptcy/state debts in college.
