Nah, you're a laissez-faire douchebag

I'm actually pretty damn chill about most shite, on here and irl. But I'm not gonna just let shite slide when I see it out of line, either. Was this the worst thing the cadet could have been doing in uniform? Of course not. But it does call her discipline into question and put her school in a bad light.

Yes. Very much opposed to getting upset about a chick texting.... She will be out in a few years anyway. Chill out.

Just an apathetic douchebag?

I don't know if it's apathy or that everyone's become numb to the onslaught of the prevailing PC mantra that anything and everything is acceptable as long as I want to do it and I'm offended if you tell me otherwise

Maybe your military daddy should've taught you to have higher standards. I bet he tried, but cocaine's a hell of a drug.

Any answer at this point seems moot.
Thank you,

Maybe my daddy didn't raise a vagina who gets offended by things of little importance.

we're beating this thing to death and that may seem like a small thing to us casual observers but the seed of discipline, or the lack of, transfers over big time

Yeah, things like discipline and bearing while marching in uniform.
In fricking West Point no less.

For someone who was in the military, it's remarkable that you're missing the big picture here.

Hint: IT'S NOT ABOUT THE GODDAMN PHONE AT ALL

Attention to the detailed, mundane minutiae is the essence of cadet life, especially at an academy or SMC. That's the foundation upon which we build troops to pay keen attention to the details of far more consequential tasks on active duty. You can't afford those kinds of screw ups in real theaters.

The fact that this cadet felt comfortable doing this when it should be taboo in her environment speaks ill not only of her, but of those charged with instilling said discipline.

Can't believe I'm spoonfeeding this to a vet, of all people

It's a microcosm of our fricked-up society, you dweeb. Even our "best and brightest" in the military lack discipline and pride. We're hosed, and people like you just shrug.

That cadet has no discipline like we had in the old days. They need to smoke that worthless pos when she gets to her first duty station.
