I guess I never realized he was 42 at time of death. Boy he was in bad shape. That’s a year younger than me. Not that I’m the chiseled man I should be, but dang I don’t look 50+ either.

He always looked more mature than he was IMO. I won't say he looked older than he was because that's not entirely accurate as he was "pretty"

Elvis died on my dad's birthday.

I remember every year network TV running Elvis movies on my dads Bday

And FWIW Kentucky Rain is the best Elvis song with In the Ghetto a close second

Damn...that's weird. Elvis died on my mother's birthday and Kentucky Rain is my favorite Elvis song.

It was written by Eddie Rabbit!

Elvis died from constipation

It was long believed that the "King" Elvis Presley died from cardiac arrhythmia brought on by his weight, drug dependency, and a weak heart. Now his doctor is saying he died from chronic constipation.

Elvis Presley reportedly considered himself to be a man's-man and didn't like to talk about the problems he had. His personal physician, Dr. George “Nick” Nichopoulos, recently announced that Elvis died from what many people suffer from -- constipation.

Pretty sure the drugs probably had more to do with it, but the coroner said his colon had stools so old they were actually white in color. Portions had approximately been in there for 3-4 months. Whatever it was, a shitty way to die

I used to love early Elvis and the later stuff was meh. However as I have gotten older, Elvis from 69-73 or so is very solid. I enjoy listening to that music so much more than early Elvis. The Royal Philharmonic remaster of Burning Love is perfect.

Agreed, think this is the best of probably any artist. The King isn’t an easy name to acquire for any entertainer.
