There are only a few days where absolutely anything can happen:
1. Monster truck rally days
2. Birthdays
3. Days where work is cancelled due to weather
4. Elvis impersonator show days

I went to the Strawberry Festival one year and they had a local guy who did an Elvis show and he was damn good. Can't remember the guys name but he did draw a good crowd at the stage he was on.
Like mentioned, if the guy is good, it can be fun. If he's bad, then it can get pretty campy real quick and you'd like to have the hook from the old "Gong Show".
