Elon is a mad genius. As he spirals further and further down the psychedelic rabbit hole things will get weirder and weirder culturally and I am always a fan of that

I think the only full interview (2 hours plus) that I’ve listened to start to finish was one of Jordan Peterson’s.

There are many other good ones, but watch the podcast with ioan grillo. He’s a British journalist who has lived in Mexico since around 2000 covering the cartels and drug lords. It was extremely fascinating. He’s not eccentric or anything, just a good speaker/storyteller, and for a British dude he crushes the pronunciation of Mexican names and towns. I’ve listened to that episode several times and it’s over 2 hours long.

This is basically what happened to Nikola Tesla it’s just that they didn’t have podcasts back then to document it all. Pretty ironic his company is named after him.

He almost comes off like he's on the autism spectrum with how much he can process and grasp at a time. He comes off robotic at times but his dry sense of humor brings out his human side.

He and Eric Weinstein are some of the most interesting people alive right now.

Elon Musk doesn't seem autistic at all to me. Its not just his sense of humor which as you noted is very good. He is very intuitive and flexible in his thinking and also has a good emotional IQ. I think he's actually a pretty good representation of humanity.

Eric Weinstein on the other hand is likely on the spectrum. His thoughts shoot out of his mouth like laser beams. He's got a crazy good memory and tries really hard to be super intellectual but obsessively harps on things to a point where his interviews get boring if not confrontational.

I'm not convinced that Elon is a sponge. His brilliance seems to be more process-oriented.

I would say that Elon is more similar to Sam Harris than any of the "intellectual dark web" people.

Eric Weinstein is frustrating because he doesn’t ask anyone about actionable information, he drags it down into the minutia and after a couple hours of listening you ask yourself what you learned from it and it’s nothing you can actually use.

Elon is a weird Mofo. He's just odd. Rogan isn't very bright, even though he pretends to be, the pot has made him dumb. Although he does have interesting guests on from time to time. Minus the UFC crap. That said Theo Vonn, Bobby Lee, Bert Kreischer, Tom Segura, Burr, Jo Koy, Chris D'elia > Rogan. frick Ari Shaffir! Rogan is a shite comic but only has a following because of the UFC
Let the "BRogans" down vote.

Yep. I want to like him more, but I have a hard time getting into it. I sometimes just shrug it off as me not being smart enough, but then you have people like Elon Musk, Sam Harris, Brian Greene, Lex Fridman, and Sean Carroll to be easy to understand.

The access we have to these minds is amazing. It used to be that you had to get into an Ivy League school or a great intern gig, but now you can just pull people up on Youtube. George Hotz sometimes live streams his workday and even shows him working through coding problems.

I don’t think it’s ironic: it’s completely intentional.
