I know I'm not supposed to do this until Sunday, but I gave in to my carnal urges and took a Gold Brick and a Heavenly Hash from the Easter basket. What happened to Elmer's? Not the usual rich and creamy quality, but rather sugary and waxy.

Is there any earthly way of knowing, which direction Elmer's is a-going?

I agree with you. Gotta love Cadburys though. I think its probably that it was always that way and now that were older were figuring it out.

Their glue is the sweetest around

Not a fan of Heavenly Hash, but the chocolate they use for Goldbricks is shite these days.

The glue has also gone down in quality, not really sugary but waxy texture.

Thou shalt not consume Gold Bricks prior to Easter Sunday.
And zero shall be the number of Gold Bricks thou shall consume. And the number of the counting shall not proceed beyond zero. Three shalt thou not count, neither count thou two. (this seems pretty clear to me)

I've been eating Heavenly Hash for weeks now - picked up 6 more boxes yesterday. They taste mighty fine to me. When they get pretty old the sugar tends to have a gritty taste from what I recall - maybe your store is rehashing last year's leftovers.

Love the Heavenly Hash, but back in the old days,
70's-80's, they use to put more than 2 almonds in them and they were much better...

I'll be 43 tomorrow and I don't remember Heavenly Hash ever having more than 2 almonds.
