I was guessing you were talking about taxes other than income tax.

When people talk about an organization not paying taxes they usually mean income taxes and not sales tax, or other taxes.

Is there another name that they are under? I can't find them on the secretary of state site except for their Trade Name, and I cannot find their 990 return on a non-profit site that I use.

Edit: Never mind. It's under HAART

They should even a Neighborhood Association and Homeowners Association has to register with the Secretary of State to be legal.

Our metro council approved the federal funding they received to give to this group. I would assume the EBRP Metro Council would have checked to make sure they are a legal non profit.
