Earthquake last night in Palm Springs

Shaken awake by a 5.2 magnitude earthquake this morning just after 1:00 a.m. Felt like a huge person was climbing into the bed, then the blinds began to vibrate. Over in seconds. No damage, but unsettling. Glad it wasn't the "big one."

was in 7.7 quake in Anchorage, Ak years back while in the military. I was in my bunk and it felt like someone standing there pushing and pulling the bed for like a minute. That was some scary stuff. Actually lived in Palm springs, ca during the 1989 world series earth quake and remember joking with my brother when the station went out that it was an earthquake. Come to find out it was.

Live in Palm Springs. Epicenter was over the mountain in Barrego Springs (sparsely populated area)
