I have an electric trimmer. Its cool. That battery is already giving problems at year 4 and its $200 to replace it.
Just a quick check on Amazon says you are wrong
None over $141

Just a quick Home Depot search says you're wrong...I said a couple of times now that I have a Milwaukee
But go on genius and get your Amazon battery...can still buy alot of gas for a chainsaw, pole saw or trimmer for $141

Like I care about $141 or $200 every 4-10 years.
I ain't pinching that many pennies dawg.
But I am saving time. Time on preventive maint for gas engines. Time saved by not running to the store to get the gas.
Grab a battery off the charger and go.
BTW, check out Amazon. Milwaukee batteries, just like what you showed, are less than $120. Hell, they sell 6-packs for less than $200.
That should make a penny pincher like you happy.

They wouldn’t warranty it because I hadn’t registered it properly, so if thats misleading then my bad.

I appreciate the tips dawg
Only reason I have this Milwaukee trimmer is because I was rebuilding my house, needed an extra battery for my Milwaukee nail gun and the trimmer was essentially free with the battery. Is it convenient as you mention? Yes. But my old gray Echo starts with 2 pulls...I'm not spending $100 on another battery when the time comes...I have the money but I just don't see the need to keep spending that on this tool...not to mention in high grass it can't go as hard and long as my gas powered Echo

I will give you that. This grass doesn't get as bad as the grass did down in Louisiana. It is bluegrass. I kinda do not like it.
But, I did insist upon a gas powered snow blower when I lived in Utah. For much the same reason. Electric blowers could not move the same amount of snow. Meanwhile up to 18" and the Ariens was chugging. Still, had to drain the gas lines end of every March. Non-ethanol additive gas was hard to find and that shite turns to gum in those small lines. Also had to clean the carb every Oct. I do not know how many pulls it would take to start. It was a plug into the wall starter.

They also sent me a new hedge trimmer after mine was recalled for free and a new string trimmer when mine stopped working 5 years after purchase.
Are you serious? None of mine have had an issue but damn... they really sent you a new one after 5 years!
My only complaint would be that the head on my string trimmer is a bit too sensitive after 4 years of hard use. Sometimes it dispenses line when I don't want it too.

I've always been impressed with the egos torque in thick grass using heavy guage line. I've taken out blackberry brambles with mine. I wouldn't have it if it didn't cut thick arse grass gone to seed and brush.
My wife likes to use the ego, I know...it's crazy but she enjoys weedeating now. She chopped through the ground wire by the meter and really thought she had messed up something major. I acted like it was a calamity for about 15 minutes before I reconnected it to the rod lol

My Ryobi battery tools work well. Why will you switch to E-Go when replacing?

I have a greenworks 80V self-propelled mower and 20” bar chainsaw.
I bought the mower for some tight hilly spots where I’ve almost killed myself on the riding mower (and the old gas push mower isn’t self-propelled) it came with two batteries. I decided I wanted more batteries and a charger and also needed another chainsaw for a backup and going deep into woods. Costco has a special on the “Pro” that wasn’t much more than a two-pack/two-port battery/charger.
They are both awesome. Of course you still need bar oil for the saw. And if you’re cutting a large trunk for firewood, be prepared to swap batteries every 5th cut. But it isn’t a big deal. The noise reduction, no gas mixing and expensive ethanol-free gas, weight reduction, and it doesn’t keep running between cuts. It keeps up with my large Echo 620P.
The mower zips right up the steep hills and can handle anything. Has a turbo mode that helps in thick stuff.
