When it comes to the vaccums that do not lose their suction

No such thing. All lose suction because no matter the design their is some kind of solid filtration screen that gets occluded.

There are many vaccums out there but what's important is the suction and keeping the suction

Actually suction is not that important. For carpets it's agitation and CFM, two things Dyson, Shark, and most box store vacuums, do very poorly. Dyson and Shark are all marketing hype. Miele, Sanitaire, Kirby, Oreck, Royal, and others produce vacuums that outperform Dyson.

Dyson and Shark are great at marketing, but their products always rate below the competition. I say this as someone that owns a dyson (dc-25 i believe) and I hate it. I'd take a rainbow over my dyson, but you should really look into a canister style vacuum.

There is a vacuum repairman on Reddit that has done a bunch of AMAs (q&a). Go read his threads. They can be eyeopening. I've talked to other vacuum repairman locally and they are pretty much agree with him.
