Moved into a new house and trying to attach vent hose to wall. Problem is the pipe barely clears the wall so you can't get hose all the way around pipe. Tried flex and ridged hoses, both won't do it.
Any ideas?

is it venting directly outside or out the roof?

Go get some more piping of the same diameter along with some aluminum HVAC tape, cut piping to desired length and rape sections together.
If this is a brand new house call the contractor and tell him to get his arse out there to fix the dryer vent.

Call landlord.
If you're owner.. call the contractor and tell him to get his arse out there and fix that pronto.

try to pull it out with pliers or needlenose,if it doesnt come out try putting a ridgid piece inside of it.(hardware or lumberyard).

You should take some pics to give us a better idea. There are a few possible ways to go. You can make an adapter/extension yourself if you are a bit of a diyer.
