Drove I-10 east of Lafayette for the first time since the expansion

Bout time Lafayette joined the 20th century and got a 6 lane interstate in their metro area.

And then you had to get on that stupid Basin bridge and probably got stopped behind a wrecked 18 wheeler for 6 hours.

I was going west so I was already off the bridge. Westbound is nearly 100% done all the way from the basin to I-49.. they just have to fill a tiny gap at the Cecilia overpass. Eastbound still has a little more work to do.

The 4 lane system there still flowed better than the 8 lanes in BR or Nola. Do not get me wrong, I fully support and am happy they expanded the lanes, but your comment is a bit hyperbolic.
