Last time I was at Oaklawn it was pretty redneck as far as horse tracks go…

It is far down the list of trashy tracks. At least oaklawn can still draw a crowd and offers great purses so they get some nice horses.
Replace oaklawn with Evangeline and maybe we’re talking.
Churchill really is a dump that gets spruced up once a year for a week. CDI as a whole has zero interest in racing. The first time I was there for a regular meet day I was kind of shocked by the condition.

But their downstairs area was what I was thinking of LOL. Delta's is worse, but only cause its so dated and worn out.

Unattended screaming children is the answer. And the very obvious race fixing.
I was not a big fan of the people with who worked there. The racing office at delta was full of a much nicer crowd.
