When asked to comment on Trump's tweet Saudi Arabia's Energy Minister Khalid al-Falih told CNBC, "Markets should determine price."

The longer oil stays down it might force Louisiana to actually consider diversifying their economy
diversify it into what? What industry do you think is going to flourish in this shithole? We had a film industry going, but then they decided to cut the tax credits and that killed that.
Whatever corp. you bring here will demand tax incentives. Soon as the local sheriff and unions decide that company isn't paying enough in taxes, they'll go after them and that company will leave. See DOW in Plaquemine or Exxon in BR.
And what sector of "new" industry do you think will find suitable employees in this state? You gonna find the next Mark Zuckerberg in Rayne? Satsuma? Ferriday?
Roustabouts with 10th grade educations may not solve your problems, but they aren't the problem either. They work and pay taxes, you stupid shite. Every F250 they drive and set of truck nuts you scorn produces the taxes you want to pay for things.
Every problem this state has is directly attributable to the Guv and Legislature. Until you have wholesale reform in those two institutions, you better suck off every one of those high school dropout roustabouts and all the other blue collar workers who are keeping this dump afloat. Cause there sure aint enough white collar alternative professions to satiate the blood thirst in taxes BR is craving.

This state was a business shithole with Republican governors as well. Jindal paid companies to move here and they still left. Short of a huge influx of educated workers and the state income tax being repealed, there will be no diversification of Louisiana industry.

oh I'm not letting the Republicans off the hook. Those frickers are as slimy as the democrats. But its not just a lack of educated workers and state income tax that kills this place. But the only way to fix it IMO is to start at the state level with serious, meaningful reform- like burn it all down and start over.

only time you'll find me offshore is when I'm deep sea fishing.

And that will never happen. Outside of a few places that don't have traditional Louisiana problems, like Lafayette, there isn't much hope that this state is going anywhere positive

The new 2019 RAM 1500 is going to be a better buy anyway.
Ram has been better than F150 for several years now. The Ford fanboys don't like to hear that.

2/3 of this state sucks arse. There isn't anything remotely redeemable about it. Nobody wants to live outside of the good parts

With how volatile oil prices can be, how many F-250's do oil baws go through each year?
the company pays for majority of their vehicle note.
