I meant the nice beans are expensive

My French press makes incredible coffee and was dirt cheap...on Amazon

ETA:

and the Chemex has a filter. Filters remove all the good oils from coffee. That brings in soooo much more flavor and texture. French press FTMFW.

That's what's so great about coffee. It's one of those simple things in life that makes it better.

Whether you are having a rough day at the office or fighting a war in a shitehole.... coffee can make your day a little better.

Thank you for your service

If you are a true enjoyer of good coffee, dont use k cups. Water doesnt sit on grounds long enough for full flavor. Plus the plastic waste is an issue for me.

Really doesn't. The flavorful oils just don't come out and you get no head on the coffee.

Filtered coffee makers are just as bad IMO.

But in a pinch, I'll take anything to satisfy my raging caffeine addiction.

I’ll drink whatever, including k cups. Coffee snobbery is not for me.

My wife has consumed two of those a day for at least a year with no issues.

You think k-cups are hipster?
Do you even french press?

French press or slow drip. Whoever thinks k cups is "hipster" probably gets their news from Facebook

I’ve yet to enjoy the coffee from my French press but I think it’s because I’ve gone through several brands of coffee before finding one I really like. So I’ve been using a little 4 cup mini Mr Coffee drip pot.

Recently got some beans from Pickle Block Roasters (new Baton Rouge company) and it’s incredible. Might try it in the press.
