Domain/Website advice needed for good cause

I have a friend of mine who is still out of internet that somehow owns the domains batonrougestrong.com and BRstrong.com. He is either looking for someone to create a kick arse website that is highlighting the BR flood relief and promote good, local charitable events and programs to help victims
Or he's just looking to sell domains to someone who would do good things with them. If he went this option, do you know how much websites sell for? I don't know anything about these types of things and neither does he. He bought domains a long time ago on a whim I think when the #BostonStrong stuff was happening. Think website would blow up given how popular hashtags #BRstrong is already.
Any legit advice appreciated. Either route he goes, he wants it to be helpful

As a person who was once employed by a domain scalper I can tell you this; Domains sell for what people are willing to pay for them. So if nobody is knocking down his door for them he's probably not going to get much for them. I think it's so prevalent now days there may even be services to sell the domains. It may take a while though. Because obviously interested people will need to realize they are for sale.

He could easily use blogger.com or something like that and create a site that way, you just have to enter the domain and it should not be hard for him to create a website to do some good.

Someone would've called him and threatened to sue by now if he owned that. The beauty of that is all you do is tell the lawyer to pound sand and they call back with a dollar amount they're willing to pay.

Another good option is Wordpress.org. If you know even a semi capable web developer or graphics designer they can get you a decent, usable website going with an easy to manage content authoring tool.
