Card to him. Card from him. We cook. V-Day complete.

In the past, when we did do things for Valentines Day, it was equal. I would not have considered not giving him a gift.

He got me a card(told him that's all I want). I got him a card and picked up take out and chocolate covered strawberries on my way home from work.

We've gotten each other gifts in the past. Some years we do that..some years it is just a card to each other.

I got the spousal unit a card from me and one from our son, along with flowers and some chocolates.

Wife got me the same, plus she picked up a 6 pack of beer and crawfish.

One year I just got him a card. We had said we would just get each other a card.

Instead...he came home with a massive thing of roses, box of chocolates, card....and a small bag from Tiffany's (with a cross pendant necklace that I still wear almost every day).

He can step up his game at times.

I've gotten him nice gifts as well in the past for V day. Concert tickets, Suns tickets(when they were actually sorta kinda a decent team), etc.

I like chocolate and she likes flowers

So she got me chocolate and I got her flowers then we went to dinner at our favorite restaurant. It was easy, delicious, and enjoyable. And we didn't have to clean the kitchen after.

He probably did something very bad that you were unaware of and was feeling guilty.
