So you're saying that a normal guy who has a normal life, but just fricks up and gets 3 DUI's and has to serve 4 months at OPP. He has no shot of not being violated? He can't outsmart the bullies? Does he get abused like daily? Weekly? Just once and that's it? I really don't want to know but I just don't get why prisoners can't act normal and fap to Playboys or something instead of being animals.

I was in between brpp and Catahoula for 45 days. First 3 weeks or so in brpp general pop, then the next 3 weeks or so at Catahoula, then shipped back to brpp but in an 8 man cell to finish out the last week. I never saw anything really bad. I spent Christmas in the 8 man cell. These were guys in there for a bit, one of they guys awaiting trial for murder. I didnt have any money so couldnt get any of the special stuff you could order but they shared it with me. Hell I only saw like 2 fights in those 45 days. Mostly just dudes watching tv or laying around.

The majority of prison rape is about power and control, not sex. It's enough boy pussy in the jails for guys not to rape. Most rapes are gang violence. A way of sending a message. There are some who will try to rape you to take your manhood and make you submissive however.

Once you get to the pen, you're less likely to get fricked with unless you make yourself a target. Most just want to do their time and go home.

Unwanted sexual abuse amongst inmates is not very common at all. If you keep to yourself, no one wants to mess with you just for the sake of messing with someone. Why do anything to piss off the guards/warden, lengthen your stay or make your own stay any less comfortable than it always is by actively making enemies of folks who just want to keep to themselves?

I worked in prison mental health for 11 years. There's some nasty stuff that goes on but almost all of it starts with one inmate acting like an a-hole then the "lessons" start. There are crews and clicks just like high school. In Louisiana we don't really have a large gang contingent so I bet a place like California has a totally different persective.
