I know lot's of folks who have. I've had 4 main jobs since graduating college, 3 I hated and one I loved.
The one I'm in now I hated for years but eventually it became at least tolerable because I really like the people I work with, still hate the job itself.
The one I loved the scope of my job changed due to things outside of anyone's control and it changed the job to the point of it being intolerable.
Before that I loved it because if I hustled and did my job I could be done by early afternoon and I really enjoyed the interaction with my customers. I was not stuck in an office I went to various vendors and served and called on them as needed.

I have worked for the same employer for going on 32 years this fall.
The first 25 years were pretty good, learned a lot, got involved in two plant relocations and setups, traveled to most of the major railroad locomotive shops in US and Canada.
The last 7 years have been an absolute drag even though the pay is great.
We closed our plant in Ohio 5 years ago and relocated manufacturing to Texas. That cut my responsibilities in half but then they laid one guy off and another one died, so I get to do both of their jobs. There are just so many problems day after day after day that I dread answering my phone or opening emails, it just sucks the life and motivation out of you.
Am approaching 58 in a couple of months and the mrs and I are working hard on relocating. My work said I could work from home. I plan on using the opportunity to find a new, less stressful job and give my notice. My wife is agreeable to go back to work and we will get by just fine.

I enjoy my job. I mean of course there are times I do not want to go to work and made more money but overall I have everything I could ask for.
I do not mind going to work everyday.
