It's what something's worth, not what you can get someone to pay for it.

Haggling is an attribute of third world marketplaces. Imagine going to Albertsons or Walmart with a basket of 50 items and having to negotiate with a cashier for every f****** item.

If you want to sell something put a price and if nobody wants it then you drop the price, If you want to buy something you say how much you want to pay for it. There should be no change by either a seller or a buyer

I think it’s the wisdom to know when to haggle and when not to that is the issue for me.

There are some things that are priced to haggle and others are simply not. People want to feel like they’re getting a deal, and not just a sale, but a steal of a deal. So, what people do who know they’re going to have to endure the haggle is they inflate the price to account for the hagglers, but at the end of the day, it’s still going to end up at the GPM they have to hit to be profitable. It’s just a game people play, but in some industries, if you don’t play that game and refuse to put everything on a constant sale price or haggle, then people don’t think they’re getting a good enough deal and go elsewhere.

I would have paid $300 but I don't want to deal with the scumbag, and he's now upset that I won't take it for $200, saying that I want it for free.

I think he's upset with you because you're stupid

Haggling isn’t as trashy as going to one of these stores. No publix where you are I see.
