The real reason Dodies Reef sued was because the Mcguinness's opened a sports bar called 504 Cafe next to the original Dodie's after signing a non-compete clause with the sale of Dodies Reef. They were using the Dodies name to promote the new place and were served with cease and desist letters. But they still would sometimes use the Dodies name in promotions for 504. Don't doubt any of this, but the gloating about winning the name is the real issue I have here. Just move on from it. Don't post on social that "there's only one Dodie's" or "the REAL Dodie's". Just continue doing business.
