I can. Don't mean I would stop my job. I'll hit that amount before I'm ready to retire.
But it didn't have to be ETFs
I had a similar plan with 300k in housing in Mexico. With a rental. Airbnb and live there in the winter. Then 500k in etf with good yield and $350k in a 3-4 plex in the burbs somewhere. Almost went in with a friend on a four plex last year. So I'll do that first.

I'm sorry my first reply was an OT answer. But a MB answer. I get the risks. My dumb arse chased Kodak last year. But I also chased GameStop for the win.

I understand the logic of piling up dividend paying stocks for retirement.

I just always remind myself that the stock prices and dividends aren't carved in stone.

How have you been doing it? Do you call your broker who then uses a computer to make your transactions?

I don't understand.

I use apps or websites, mostly apps to trade. Im not a day trader (high volume transactions in which in which you are selling within minutes after buying) so I use an app for 95% of my transactions. I have never hand an issue.. But I am still trying to understand what other way would you do it..

Do you not know the definition of "or"?

That's like you telling the waiter that you want water and them asking "bottled or tap" and you responding "I don't understand, how else would I get it?"

yeesh, the question was of the two, which do you choose.
