I work for a mega corp in ATL. In ATL, you don't have to 'try' to hire diverse, plenty of highly qualified people of all races and orientations.
However, I have noticed that if you can stack minority statuses on top of each other, you will be promoted annually regardless of your performance.
Black female lesbian with a service dog for mental illness has been promoted 8 times in 8 years.

Diversity of thought, absolutely. It's essential to having the most efficient workforce and ensuring you have a wide range of talent.
Diversity of color, sexual orientation, ect, don't give one single shite. Go to work and do your job most of that bullshite should be left out of the office anyway (your sex life, political/religious beliefs)
Unfortunately diversity these days is only refers to the latter and never the former.
