Serious question: Do you get pissed when you walk (ETA, doh!) into McDonalds and see able bodied folks sitting at those tables with the wheel chairs on them? Have you ever had to ask them to move so you can enjoy your value meal there?

Family meals or decent restaurants, yes. Fast food or by myself, no. I don't see any reason to put it in my lap alone because, as far as I can tell, the only point of the rule is to keep your nasty napkin out of sight from other diners.

While we are on the subject, I find when someone asks for a black cloth napkin extremely pretentious.
